Rope Systems Used During Diver Operations Drill

The Barnstable County Technical Rescue Team and the Yarmouth Fire Department held specialized training at Wicked Waves Cape Cod on May 8.
Using a rope system intended to safely drop and retrieve workers from the cramped areas, crews helped divers penetrate subterranean water tanks. According to officials, the training concentrated on diver support protocols and technical rescue operations.
The agency acknowledged the regional rescue workers who participated in the drill and thanked Wicked Waves Cape Cod for providing the training site.
