EDGARTOWN, MA — May 3rd — The Edgartown Fire Department's members took part in EMS training that covered current medical procedures and emergency responders' ongoing education. EMS staff may stay up to date on changes in patient care, treatment approaches, and emergency response protocols with the support of annual protocol modifications. Crews rehearsed common emergency call skills and reviewed medical response requirements during the program.

As treatment standards and best practices continue to change, department officials stated that continuing education is a crucial component of emergency medical care. Refresher courses are routinely held by fire and emergency medical services organizations throughout Massachusetts in order to preserve credentials, foster teamwork, and enhance preparedness for medical crises. According to officials, ongoing training keeps responders ready to offer the community safe and efficient care.
