BOWDOINHAM, ME — May 2nd — For the Oxford and Franklin County training programs, the Bowdoinham Fire/Rescue assisted in administering the written and skills exams for Fire Instructors I and II. The assessment process included 33 candidates along with 11 staff members and instructors participating in the certification event. The exam assessed the fire service knowledge, teaching strategies, and classroom presentation abilities necessary for instructor certification.

Candidates were working toward Pro Board certification, a nationally recognized standard used throughout the fire service industry. According to department officials, the event demonstrated Maine's ongoing dedication to firefighter education and professional development. Future firemen are trained by certified teachers, who also assist local emergency response initiatives.
