Maine EMS Recognizes Bath Fire & Rescue Personnel

BATH, ME — May 5th — The Maine EMS Phoenix Award was given to Bath Fire & Rescue Department personnel for their successful cardiac arrest patient resuscitation during an emergency response. Firefighters Tran, Farr, Whalen, Johnson, Captain Moody, and Deputy Chief Cummings were honored for their cooperation and actions during the event.


The Phoenix Award is presented to EMS providers who help restore a pulse and breathing in cardiac arrest patients before arrival at the hospital. According to Maine EMS officials, the prize emphasizes how crucial quick action, CPR, and coordinated patient care are in medical situations. According to department authorities, the crew's training, collaboration, and dedication to provide emergency medical care in the community are all reflected in the commendation.
