BRICK TOWNSHIP, N.J. — On May 7th — At the Brick Township Fire Academy, volunteers from Department Pioneer Hose Co #1 took part in live fire training exercises. During simulated fireground occurrences, crews functioned as Engine and Truck companies, carrying out tasks such as interior fire assault, searches, ventilation, investigation, and victim location. Additionally, radio communication, accountability, apparatus placement, and pump operator abilities were covered in the course.

In order to enhance cooperation and teamwork under practical circumstances, members alternated between various fireground roles. According to department representatives, the changes were intended to uphold emergency response readiness and strengthen safe operating procedures. Volunteers and instructors from Station 22 showed up in large numbers for the evening drill.
