Photo by RON JEFFERSNorth Hudson firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire in a large Polk Street dwelling, in West New York, April 28th. An outside fire quickly traveled up all three floors on the Delta side of the home and into the attic and through the roof. Passing by EMS units and police officers evacuated numerous occupants before the arrival of fire units. Two police officers and a firefighter were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
