Lorraine, NY — April 27th — A training session on pump operations, drafting, hose-line deployment, and master stream use was held by the Lorraine Volunteer Fire Company Inc., located at 20876 County Route 189, Lorraine, NY, United States, 13659. Crews were sent to an outdoor fire on County Route 93 in the Town of Lorraine during the session. Units immediately applied the skills they had learned in training to a real-world situation.
Lorraine Volunteer Fire Company members used regular hose operations to contain the fire and provide a water supply. Frequent training is still essential to fire service operations because it keeps firefighters prepared for situations that call for coordinated water flow and suppression efforts.
