Dexter, NY — April 18th — In order to honor member service and accomplishments, the Dexter Volunteer Fire Department Inc., located at 100 Locke St., Dexter, NY, USA, 13634, hosted its yearly banquet at the Absolute Breeze Event Center. John Stano received recognition for his 50 years of service. Liz Kellar became the first auxiliary member to win the 2026 Member of the Year award.

Drew Heise, Nathan Young, and Scott LaSage were also honored by the Dexter Volunteer Fire Department for their handling of a cardiac arrest situation in May of last year. They were commended by Mark Walczyk and given awards by the Town of Brownville Joint Fire District. The occasion was a reflection of continuous training and service initiatives.
