Calumet, PA — April 26th — A training session on apparatus operations was held by the Calumet Volunteer Fire Department, located at 4143 State Route 981, Calumet, PA, United States, 15666. Officers guided members through practical exercises with Tanker 109 and the assault engine. Pump operations, water supply setup, and engine and tanker function coordination were all covered in the training.

Calumet Volunteer Fire Department members went over standard practices in places lacking hydrant systems, where tanker operations are necessary to keep the water flowing. Standard fire department procedures that prioritize preparedness, safety, and coordination are followed in regular apparatus training. Crews are better prepared for structural fires and other situations that call for continuous water delivery operations thanks to sessions like this one.
