On April 30, the Cedar Grove Fire Department responded to six service requests, demonstrating the consistent workload that its volunteer members manage. The most serious event happened when workers arrived at a car wreck with entrapment at the intersection of Route 23 and East Bradford Avenue.
After evaluating the incident, firefighters extricated the passengers, who were then sent to a nearby hospital for assessment. Units later responded to a dryer fire that had been reported. In order to minimize damage, crews swiftly put out the fire and ventilated the house.
