Bergen, NY — April 6th — Before its monthly meeting, the Bergen Fire Department received support from the community when the Bergen Hesperus Lodge stopped by the station and fed its members. Prior to the meeting, firefighters assembled to examine operational plans, training updates, and regular business. Local organizations continue to play a significant role in volunteer fire service by boosting morale and fostering closer relationships between departments and the areas they serve.

Such incidents also demonstrate the continued collaboration between emergency responders and civic organizations. Contributions from community partners help members combine duty with everyday obligations, according to department officials. The visit demonstrated the district's ongoing local support for emergency services.
