Engine 17 Conducts Canal Water Supply Drill

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On April 30, members of the City of Lambertville Fire District #1 third shift trained in drafting operations and area familiarization.

Crews utilized a 15-foot suction pipe to suck water and return it to the canal from Engine 17, which was situated close to Coryell Street above the abandoned train tracks. A familiarization with the layout of the former Finkels property was another aspect of the course.

In order to stay informed about neighborhood developments, participants viewed additional neighboring buildings and undertook a walkthrough of a nearby new construction site after the drill.
