Joint Water Supply Drill Strengthens Mutual Aid Readiness
Andover, NH- Andover Emergency Services partnered with the Wilmot Fire Department for a hands-on water supply training exercise focused on coordinated operations during emergency incidents.
Crews established a water supply from a dry hydrant along Route 4A, then conducted shuttle operations to move water to a designated transfer site.
At the transfer station, apparatus pumped water to an attack engine, simulating sustained fireground operations in areas without hydrant infrastructure.
The drill emphasized the critical role of mutual aid in ensuring reliable water delivery during emergencies, while reinforcing coordination, communication, and efficiency between departments.
The training provided valuable experience for all involved and highlighted the importance of interagency collaboration in rural response scenarios.
