ROCHESTER, NH — April 15th — Two members of the Rochester NH Fire Department, located at 37 Wakefield St., were promoted to important leadership positions. After being promoted to captain, Lieutenant Joseph Riley is now in charge of staffing, incident management, and day-to-day operations as the B-Shift Commander. Captain Devon Pageau has been elevated to the position of Assistant Chief, where he will assist with planning, administration, and department operations.
Promotions in the fire department are a reflection of leadership, training, and experience. Qualifications for fire officers are outlined in National Fire Protection Association standards, such as NFPA 1021. By strengthening the command structure and promoting ongoing readiness throughout the department, these modifications guarantee efficient reaction and leadership in both everyday operations and emergency situations.
