Durham Crews Complete NHFA Training Week

CONCORD, NH — April 10th — At the New Hampshire Fire Academy (NHFA), members of the Durham NH Fire Department, located at 51 College Road, finished a week of training that covered real fire operations, the use of new SCBAs, and the Blue Card incident management system. Using improved SCBA equipment, crews worked on hose line advancement, ventilation coordination, and interior fire assault in controlled burn scenarios. During training evolutions, incident command, communication, and accountability were strengthened through the deployment of the Blue Card system.


The National Fire Protection Association's standards, such as NFPA 1403, are followed in live fire training. A uniform method of command on the fireground is supported by the Blue Card system. Training at NHFA offers reliable, practical experience to support departmental operations that are safe and efficient.
