The Town of Avon Board of Health and the Avon Fire Department have launched a series of free "Lunch and Learn" workshops for the community on stroke awareness and prevention.
The F.A.S.T. approach for identifying stroke warning signals, risk factors, prevention techniques, and when to dial 911 will all be covered in the class. Additionally, blood pressure tests will be provided, emphasizing a crucial strategy for lowering the risk of stroke.
Throughout May, sessions are planned at various sites, and participants will get a light lunch. The grant-funded program seeks to increase early intervention and public awareness.
