Concord Fire Department Honors Retiring Deputy Chief

Concord, NH — March 31st — After more than 26 years of service, Deputy Chief Mark Hebert retired from the Concord, New Hampshire Fire Department on his last shift. He started out as a firefighter/paramedic on August 13, 1999, and went on to hold the positions of lieutenant, battalion chief, and deputy chief of operations.


He continued to be involved in union leadership positions while working on both EMS and suppression missions. He assisted in the implementation of Ambulance 1, supported staffing initiatives, and helped shape the Advanced EMT position during his tenure in administration. After the COVID period, he also helped to stabilize operations. Members came to Fire Headquarters to honor his career and service.
