Farmington Warns Residents as Brushfire Season Begins

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

FARMINGTON, NH — April 25th — As brush fire season gets underway, the Farmington Fire Department reminded locals to lower the risk of a fire near their homes.

Officials advise clearing out dry leaves, yard debris, and other flammable things that could start quickly spreading fires. Establishing defensible space around buildings reduces the spread of fires and enhances safety for both locals and emergency personnel.

Because brush fires can start and spread quickly in dry circumstances, prevention is essential to community safety.
