Farmington Warns of Hot Car Dangers

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

FARMINGTON, NH — April 15th — A seasonal warning about the risks of leaving kids or pets in parked cars was sent by the Farmington Fire Department.

Even in mild weather, officials pointed out that temperatures inside a parked automobile can reach hazardous levels in a matter of minutes. There have been reports of hot car incidents all year round, not just during the busiest summer months.

Because even brief periods of time might pose major threats, residents are advised to always check the backseat before leaving a vehicle, secure parked cars, and stay vigilant.
