RICHMOND, RI — April 25th — The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Fire Department trained junior members of the Richmond-Carolina Fire District throughout the day.

As they moved through many hands-on stations, participants learned about brush fire procedures, high-angle and rope rescue, hazardous materials operations, and pump operations. Such training sessions teach fundamental skills and expose younger members to a variety of fireground specialties.

Officials expressed gratitude to Chief Saccone, Deputy Chief Knudson, and MPFD Local 4746 Group 1 for organizing the event.
