ALTON, NH — April 18th — As part of its "Firefighter Friday" feature, Alton Fire & Rescue honored Firefighter/EMT Matt Krafton in recognition of his dedication to the department.

After graduating from the New Hampshire Recruit School at the age of 45, Krafton joined the department a year ago. He explained that he joined the fire service because he wanted to serve and be a part of something bigger.

He noted the variety of calls in Alton, including mountain rescues, water incidents, and everyday service calls, as a key part of the experience. Off duty, Krafton focuses on family life with his wife and three children.
