Hands-On Training Builds Precision in Patient Handling and Rescue Operations

Beaver, PA - Brighton Township Volunteer Fire Department members conducted a focused training session centered on patient packaging and movement, refining techniques to safely handle and stabilize patients across a range of scenarios and challenging environments.


Crews also practiced low-angle rescue operations, reviewing proper rigging, positioning, and safety protocols to ensure effective execution in the field.


The session included hands-on work with tripod lifting systems, reinforcing correct setup and operation for safe and efficient extrication.


The training emphasized teamwork, coordination, and skill development, strengthening overall readiness for real-world rescue incidents.
