Brighton Twp. Volunteer Fire Department members completed an extensive refresher training and operational review in preparation for an upcoming large-scale exercise at the Beaver Valley Power Station.

The session brought together key partners, including Beaver County Emergency Services (EMA) and a representative from the power station, ensuring all training aligned with current protocols and real-world response expectations.

Firefighters reviewed critical procedures for radiological incidents, focusing on hazard recognition, protective actions, and coordinated communication.

Crews also gained hands-on experience with radiation detection and monitoring equipment, reinforcing their ability to operate specialized tools in high-risk environments.
