Rumney Fire Reports 18 Calls for March

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Four mutual assistance responses to Warren, Campton, and Canaan were among the eighteen service requests that the Rumney Fire Department reported in March.

Two car crashes, a downed tree and wires, a hazardous condition, a dumpster fire, a building smoke investigation, an unattended brush fire, and six EMS calls were among the other events.

A quick water rescue review was the main emphasis of the monthly training. With two enrolled in EMT classes, two in AEMT classes, five in Firefighter II classes, and three in Emergency Vehicle Driver Operator training, members are still working toward their credentials. According to officials, it will be a first for the department if every member has at least an EMT or Firefighter I certification by the end of the summer.
