EPPING, NH — April 13th — "Governor William Plummer," the new Engine 1, was put into action by Epping Fire & Rescue, 37 Pleasant Street. There was no direct tax burden on locals because the apparatus was financed by a combination of grant financing and impact fees from local development. Chief Berkenbush and Assistant Chief Lombardo were among the department leaders who oversaw the purchase and delivery.
In order to get ready for the engine's rollout, crews had just finished training. Engine companies are essential for water delivery, fire suppression, and initial emergency medical assistance. The agency was able to upgrade its fleet while maintaining continuous service and operational readiness thanks to meticulous planning and funding, according to officials.
