Binghamton, NY - Members of the Binghamton Fire Department participated in hands-on training at the Sullivan Training Center, focusing on search techniques within a simulated fire environment.

Crews operated inside the structure under artificial smoke conditions, creating low visibility to replicate real-world fireground challenges. The exercise allowed firefighters to refine their ability to locate and rescue victims efficiently in high-stress situations.

Officials emphasized that training under realistic conditions is essential to maintaining readiness, ensuring firefighters can respond quickly, safely, and effectively when called upon to serve the community.
