ADAMS, NY — March 31st — A training session on ventilation, hose line advancement, and pump operations was held by the Adams Fire Department. In order to refresh fundamental fireground skills and safe operating procedures, members undertook practical evolutions. Under normal circumstances, crews worked on setting up a water supply, running pumps, and advancing handlines. Basic strategies for enhancing interior conditions and supporting fire attacks were taught in ventilation training. Throughout the meeting, officers placed a strong emphasis on accountability, coordination, and communication.

Maintaining preparedness and reliable operations during emergency situations still requires training on these principles. Members can maintain familiarity with equipment and improve fireground techniques by participating in regular drills. After the workshop, staff members were more proficient and had strengthened the abilities necessary for safe and efficient operations.
