Department Honors Service of Richard Blum

DARETOWN, NJ — April 7th — Richard Blum, a devoted member who worked for the department for 55 years, passed away, according to the Daretown Fire Company Station 16. Blum began working for the company in 1971 and was dedicated to its goals for the duration of his employment. He supported departmental continuity and administrative operations while serving as President and Secretary. His long-standing participation demonstrated how crucial volunteer leadership is to the survival of regional fire service organizations.


Members pointed out that people like Blum offer stability and experience to help emergency response and day-to-day operations. Over many years, his services kept the corporation organized and prepared. Both the community and other firemen remember him for his consistent service and long-lasting influence on the department.
