Providence, RI — Members of the Providence Fire Department are taking part in specialized Active Shooter Event Response training designed to enhance preparedness and coordinated emergency operations.


The training combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on exercises, including tourniquet application, aimed at improving rapid life-saving interventions during high-risk incidents.


By focusing on both medical response and interagency coordination, firefighters are reinforcing their ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-moving situations where every second counts.
