Veteran Volunteers Acknowledged at Department Ceremony

Hewlett, NY — March 24th — During a department ceremony, six members of the Hewlett Fire Department, located at 25 Franklin Avenue, were honored for more than 50 years of service. The group's total 300 years of volunteer experience reflects the community's long-standing dedication to emergency response and fire safety. Honorees received recognition for decades of training, response work, and departmental operations support.


Ari Brown, Kate Murray, and John Ferretti were among the local authorities that attended and acknowledged the members' contributions. Milestones like this, according to department commanders, demonstrate the importance of experience, consistency, and commitment in the volunteer fire service.
