Garden City, NY — April 1st — Firefighter Miles Hansen received the American Legion Law and Order Award at the annual Law and Order Night presented by William Bradford Turner American Legion Post #265, which was attended by members of the Garden City Fire Department, located at 347 Stewart Ave. First responders that consistently serve their community and show a dedication to it are given this distinction.

Hansen has been a member for just under three years, during which time he has been an active chauffeur and a regular respondent to alarms, including vehicle and building fires. His dependability and consistent competence on the fireground were noted by department officers. The Garden City Police Department and NYU Langone Health EMS staff were also honored at the occasion, demonstrating the continued cooperation between local agencies.
