MASTIC, NY — March 27th — At William Floyd Middle School, members of Mastic Fire Department Chemical Company No. 1 took part in a community event that focused on public engagement and fire prevention.
During their meetings with locals and schoolchildren, firefighters distributed fire safety supplies and safety information. These kinds of community programs are a frequent feature of department operations, assisting in educating the public about emergency preparedness and fire safety procedures.
