AMHERST, NH — Amherst Fire and EMS participated in an advanced live fire training program hosted by Merrimack Fire Rescue, working alongside Bedford and Milford fire departments to enhance regional coordination and operational readiness.
Firefighters completed multiple live burn evolutions in a controlled structure fire environment, focusing on essential skills such as ventilation, hose handling, and search techniques—key components of effective fireground operations.
Several officers, firefighters, and Chief Waldron represented Amherst during the training. Town Administrator Lincoln Daley was also in attendance and took part in hands-on drills, gaining firsthand insight into the demands faced by emergency personnel.
Department officials expressed appreciation to Merrimack Fire Rescue for hosting the training and to mutual aid partners for their continued collaboration and commitment to excellence.
