MORRIS, CT — The Morris Fire Company conducted a focused training session to strengthen search and rescue capabilities ahead of an upcoming live burn exercise.


Crews operated in zero-visibility conditions, practicing primary search techniques and the removal of a downed firefighter under realistic scenarios.


Firefighters also evaluated multiple thermal imaging cameras, comparing clarity, range, and advanced features in real time.


The hands-on training provided valuable insight into equipment performance and reinforced critical skills needed for operating in high-risk, low-visibility environments.
