LITCHFIELD, CT — Litchfield Fire Department members took part in a variety of training activities to strengthen readiness and teamwork.

Crews trained with neighboring departments in a full-gear dodgeball session, focusing on mobility, communication, and situational awareness. Two members, assigned to the Northwest Regional Rope Rescue Team, completed a technical drill covering the Arizona Vortex, hauling systems, and Stokes basket operations.

Three members also finished a Large Animal Rescue course hosted by the Franklin Volunteer Fire Department, gaining hands-on experience in specialized rescue techniques and animal behavior.

The department continues to seek new members and encourages interested individuals to visit the firehouse for more information.
