EAST WILLISTON, NY — April 9th — During recent departmental hearings, the East Williston Fire Department, headquartered at 456 Sagamore Avenue, announced the election of two individuals to important leadership positions. Brian Goldman was chosen to be the Recording Secretary and Kevin Mulrooney to be the Second Assistant Chief. The choices are made as part of regular officer appointments that aid in getting the department ready for the next fire season.

While the Recording Secretary is in charge of keeping official records and recording department business, the 2nd Assistant Chief assists with command operations, training supervision, and response coordination. Nassau County volunteer departments still depend on seasoned individuals taking on leadership roles to assist with administrative and emergency response tasks all year long.
