Jefferson Hills , Pa - Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue units, alongside Jefferson Police, responded to the 2000 block of Lewis Run Road for a report of a cat trapped in a hole.
Upon arrival, crews located the animal stuck in a hole along a creek bank. Firefighters and police carefully dug out the area to gain access, eventually freeing the cat once a safe opening was created.
Moments after being rescued, the cat quickly escaped from responders and fled the scene, avoiding capture. The hole was subsequently filled to prevent similar incidents, and the animal was not believed to pose any risk to the public.
