CENTER MORICHES, NY — April 11th — "Marine 26" was put back into duty by the Center Moriches Fire Department for the 2026 boating season.
The department's 25-foot Parker boat has both marine firefighting and search and rescue capabilities. Members of the Marine Unit and Water Rescue Team underwent equipment checks and pre-season inspections to guarantee preparedness before going back into service. As seasonal activity rises, the Center Moriches Fire Department said that staff are still ready to respond both on land and in the water.
