BAY SHORE, NY — March 28th — The Bay Shore Fire Department collaborated with several organizations to enhance community fire safety as part of the American Red Cross' "Sound the Alarm" program in Brentwood.
To install free smoke alarms and educate locals about fire safety, firefighters collaborated with colleagues from FRES, nearby municipalities, county, and state agencies. By ensuring that households have functional alarms, the program, which focuses on early detection and prevention, helps lower the number of fire-related injuries and fatalities.
