Glen Gardner Fire Reports 24 Calls for March

Glen Gardner Fire Company No. 1 noted that they responded to 24 service calls in March and participated in various training events as well as providing mutual aid support.


The call volume consisted of one structure fire, four outdoor fires, four fire alarm activations, three vehicle fires, three motor vehicle accidents, two odor investigations, one brush fire, and seven other calls including assistance to police and EMS, water leaks, and various service calls.


Throughout the month, the company conducted a drill with local mutual aid teams centered on extensive area search operations and mask assurance. Firefighters also practiced water supply operations and utilized different hydrant equipment. Moreover, members supported the Hunterdon County Emergency Services Training Center with live burn exercises for Firefighter I.


The highest responding members included Firefighter Bryan Stevens (83%), Deputy Chief Joseph Starcher (83%), Firefighter Anthony Starcher (71%), Firefighter Daniel Stone (58%), Lieutenant Tom Stevens (54%), Lieutenant Joe DeLaCruz (50%), and Firefighter Bill Border (50%)
