Fitchburg, MA - Fitchburg firefighters joined the District 8 Technical Rescue Team for a hands-on training exercise at Great Wolf Lodge, focusing on complex confined space rescue operations.

Crews worked through realistic scenarios involving a trapped victim, utilizing rope systems and coordinated techniques to safely complete the rescue.

The drill placed a strong emphasis on communication, precision, and teamwork, challenging members to operate efficiently in tight, high-pressure environments. Training like this helps ensure crews are prepared to handle specialized rescue situations when they arise.

Fire officials also extended their thanks to Great Wolf Lodge for hosting the training.
