FANWOOD, NJ, March 31st — The Fanwood Fire Department used a blitz fire nozzle and one attack line to conduct a training exercise on engine company operations. Newer members gained practical practice in hose deployment, nozzle control, and pump operator coordination during the program. Large amounts of water are frequently delivered during outdoor operations or when extra flow is required using the blitz fire device, a portable master stream.

In order to facilitate efficient fireground operations, members practiced appropriate location, water supply setup, and crew communication.
