During National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, the Adelphia Fire Company honored dispatch staff and expressed gratitude to the Monmouth County Radio Room and the Howell Police Department.
As the "first" first responders, telecommunicators respond to 911 calls, send out emergency services, give life-saving instructions, and maintain computer and radio networks around-the-clock, according to officials.
