CHESTER, NH — March 31st — Josh Wise, a firefighter, was named the Chester Fire Department's member highlight for the month. Wise has worked with the department for two years as a per diem firefighter, responding to calls and participating in frequent training. He is certified in Emergency Vehicle Driver Training, Firefighter I, II, and III, and technical rescue disciplines like ice water, swift water, confined space, and rope operations.

In addition, he runs a fire safety company that supports life safety initiatives outside of the fire department. In order to honor service and encourage recruiting, departments throughout New Hampshire frequently feature members. Wise continues to support department operations while concentrating on training, response readiness, and community involvement.
