FF Jenna Malone Completes Massachusetts Fire Training

WALPOLE, MA — March 20th — Firefighter Jenna Malone has graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy, according to the Walpole Firefighters IAFF Local 2464. For candidates from all around the Commonwealth, the academy offers uniform instruction in fire behavior, ladder operations, search and rescue, ventilation, and live fire evolutions. In addition to preparing firemen for field operations within their departments, the training satisfies state certification requirements.
Graduates are prepared to integrate into company assignments and return to their agency trained to national standards. This kind of program helps Massachusetts' call and career departments grow their workforces. Firefighter Malone is now a member of the department's operational ranks, assisting with everyday station tasks and emergency response. The graduation signifies the end of the initial training and the beginning of community service.
