PLAINVILLE, MA — March 31st — The Massachusetts Department of Fire Services' Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program has given the Plainville Fire Department $11,211.09. The award is a component of a statewide initiative funded by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security that enables departments to buy equipment that enhances the safety of firefighters. Funds are frequently utilized for products that adhere to modern safety regulations, such as communication gadgets and protection gear.
Such programs help municipal agencies control equipment expenditures and maintain readiness. Applications from regional organizations throughout the Commonwealth are used to determine awards. The money will support the department's continuous safety initiatives and guarantee that staff members have access to modern emergency response gear.
