Plainville Fire Hosts Cub Scouts for Safety Training

PLAINVILLE, MA — March 23rd — Wrentham Cub Scout Pack 131 received fire safety instruction and a tour of the Plainville Fire Department's station. Firefighters went over fundamental safety procedures, such as how to utilize a smoke alarm, plan a home escape, and report an incident. As personnel explained daily operations and response tasks, scouts were given a close look at machinery and equipment. As part of the visit, participants earned a safety patch after completing practical exercises centered on fire awareness and prevention.


In Massachusetts, departments routinely work with schools and youth organizations to support ongoing community risk reduction initiatives. Throughout the event, crews were on duty and available for calls. During the tour, important safety lessons were reinforced and young people were introduced to the fire department.
