GREENFIELD, MA — April 3rd — In order to engage with kids interested in the fire service, the Greenfield Fire Department attended a Career and College Fair at Greenfield High School.

At a booth manned by firefighters, they talked about the qualities that assist individuals become ready for a job in the profession, hiring standards, and educational options. Members also emphasized the importance of extracurricular activities in fostering community involvement, leadership, and teamwork.

Attendees were given the chance to observe the tools and equipment used in day-to-day operations, which gave them a better understanding of the duties involved.
