ANDOVER, MA — April 10th — Field box AEDs have been installed at several public sites throughout the city, according to the Andover Fire Rescue.

Deyermond Field, the Upper and Lower Shawsheen areas, the Youth Center track, the football field and track at Andover High School, and the lower fields of High Plain Elementary and Wood Hill Middle School are all now offering units. Later this summer, Pomp's Pond will receive another unit.

The code on the front of each box can be used to unlock it, according to officials, and it also notifies dispatch when it is accessed. In the event of an emergency, residents are encouraged to dial 911 right away.
