Harrisville Crews Complete Stop The Bleed Training

HARRISVILLE, RI — April 5th — As part of continuous interdepartmental training, members of Burrillville's townwide Rescue Task Force finished an annual "Stop The Bleed" refresher course, according to the Harrisville Fire Department, 201 Callahan School St. Both current and potential members took part in practical training in hemorrhage control, including how to apply tourniquets, pack wounds, and quickly assess patients. During rescue task force operations, these abilities are essential for coordinated fire, EMS, and law enforcement response.
Frequent refresher training guarantees uniform practices across agencies and aids in maintaining proficiency. Before being transported, programs like "Stop The Bleed" are frequently utilized to increase survivability in trauma incidents. To improve preparedness for high-risk calls, departments in the area continue to place a strong emphasis on collaborative training. The training was mentioned by the department as a component of ongoing regional cooperation initiatives.
